We have concluded a Church Planting Strategy Development meeting at the North American Mission Board in Alpharetta GA with Russian and Ukrainian leaders from around the United States and Canada with a goal of 500 churches planted by 2025. The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is the domestic missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention. It exists to assist Southern Baptists in their task of fulfilling the Great Commission in the United States, Canada, and their territories through a national strategy for sharing Christ, starting churches, and sending missionaries, in cooperation with Acts 1:8 Partners.
Next step in this process: A “Slavic Pastors and Leaders Conference” scheduled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for September 17-18, 2010 to share the vision and strategy and enlist partnerships for church planting.
